Shane is the owner and jack of all trades in the SMG family. His passion is plants and in particular Topiary. He loves creating unusual shapes and clouded conifers and Box. He is in the early stages of setting up his own topiary nursery, where he can put more time into creating these unique features.
Shane loves to talk gardening and especially plants. His early years in the nursery industry has given him a wide and varied knowledge in this area.
In his spare time (when he isn’t working in his own nursery) he enjoys spending time with his family. He has been married for 20 years (in 2022) and has two children. Maddison 18 and Noah 15. Weekends are spent pottering around the house (code for nursery) with Sundays during winter taken up with Noah’s football commitments. When time allows, he enjoys getting down to watch the local SANFL competition. He has been a lifelong North Adalaide supporter, a passionate Roosters supporter he certainly is.
